Appearing on the 700 Club!

I don’t think I’ve ever been on TV before.  Maybe in the background of a News story on a Toby Mac look-alike contest.  But this was the first one I can say I remember, and captured!

A few months ago I made a video for my church called “Stuff Christian Singles Hear”.  I wrote it with my wife at the request of Joey Connolly for a Singles in Service event at my church.  Joey thought it would be a good idea to do a take on the “Stuff Girls Say” video that was so popular.  We uploaded our version to youtube and it received way more hits than we ever expected.  You can see the video here Stuff Christian Singles Hear.

The video was seen by a few producers at the 700 Club, a Christian television show that airs on ABC family.  They asked if I’d like to come on the show and answer a few questions about the video, and about the world of a single Christian in general.  The interview was done via Skype, which allowed me to conduct the interview in the comfort of my own home.  This led to some funny comments towards the end of the interview.  Needless to say, I had an absolute blast doing the interview.  Although some of the questions were unexpected, I thought the hosts were super friendly and approached the topic in the best way possible.  Thanks to Joey Connolly who’s directing made the video truly great!  You can see the interview by clicking here.  I also kind of thought the host looked like Hillary Banks from The Fresh of Bel-Air.  Was I on the Hillary Show?  Her name is Kristi Watts, and she was a ton of fun to talk to. Hilarious and fun.
