Cairn University! \u00a0Or Carin? \u00a0Caarn? \u00a0Kerns? \u00a0However you say, the kids at Cairn are awesome. \u00a0And what a fun year to have joined them at their Spring Gala. \u00a0The kids at Cairn enjoy the basic things in life: \u00a0Fish smelling trees outside Manor Residence Hall, late night Wawa runs, Chick-fil-a binges, finding ways to get out of chapel attendance, relieving stress with donuts provided by student living and more. \u00a0I had found out through visiting their site, that David Crowder had performed for them in the fall. \u00a0So all I had to do was be the David Crowder of Comedy for the night, and I’d be fine. \u00a0It was a little harder than usual. \u00a0The sound system provided by the country club where the event was held was similar to the Fischer-Price recorder your Dad used when he was a kid…when it was working. \u00a0It was decided unanimously, by the audience, that when the mic went out and stopped working the second time, me shouting to 300 people actually sounded better. \u00a0So for an hour, I shouted my entire set like Lil-John promoting a hip-hop tour. \u00a0The next day I had the voice of Clint Eastwood after 30 years in a Coal Mine. \u00a0But I’ll be danged if it wasn’t an amazing show. \u00a0I have never had to do that before and am grateful it still went incredibly well. \u00a0The crowd was great, the food was delish, and a blast was had by all. \u00a0A big thanks to the Student Programs at Cairn for putting on this awesome event.<\/p>\n
