Razor City

I had a lot of fun doing a show for New Horizon Baptist Worship Center in Tabor City, NC.  I found out lots about this town.  For starters, it’s nicknamed Razor City because it was notorious for stabbings back in the day during fights.  Which made me a little nervous about telling the wrong joke.  I was also able to snag a delicious classic Tabor City Treat at the gas station in town – Hot Fat Back Pork Cracklins.  When I brought it up at the show, I was told I needed to eat them with Chicken.

The crowd was great, the church was cool, and the laughs were plenty.  A big thanks to Michelle Simmons for working so hard to put on the event and to Larry Weaver for hooking up the gig.

I like that it explains what it is in the bottom.

This girl was a great laugher and had a killer Tabor City Accent.

It’s tradition for men in Tabor City to not smile in pictures. Woops.
